GTA 6: new footage, prices and November 19 launch
The recent presentation shows GTA VI on PS5. Preorders separate preloading from play, while retail boxes contain a code and no disc.
Rockstar published Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look on August 27, with footage captured on PlayStation 5.¹ The game remains scheduled for November 19, 2026, on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.⁴ For buyers, an equally important detail concerns the retail package: it contains a download code and no disc.⁷
The recent video and press demonstration
Netflix received the approximately 27-minute presentation first and offers Brazilian Portuguese subtitles. It describes the material as in-game footage captured on PS5.² That establishes where the images came from, but an edited presentation doesn’t measure performance stability during unrestricted play.
Rob Nelson held the controller during the demonstration attended by El País. The newspaper describes vehicle trackers and alarms, plus coordinating robberies with the other protagonist.³ These observations come from a developer-led session before release.
November 12 is for downloads; November 19 is for play
Take-Two’s announcement separates the dates: preloading starts November 12, when boxed codes also become available; the game opens on November 19.⁴ Brazil’s PlayStation Store lists 03:00 UTC on November 19, which is midnight in Brasília.⁵
The Brazilian Ultimate listing also shows November 19 and specifies seven days of preloading.⁶ Buying the more expensive edition doesn’t provide a week of early play. The earlier download prepares the installation.
The announced launch covers PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The official sources cited here provide no PC or Switch 2 date.⁴ ⁹
Prices in Brazil and the United States

Ultimate adds content such as vehicles, weapons and clothing to the story.⁶ Whether that justifies the extra R$100 in Brazil depends on the appeal of those extras. The dollar comparison also doesn’t include the final cost of an international purchase made with a Brazilian card.
The month of GTA+ offered with a PS5 preorder continues as an automatically renewing paid subscription unless cancelled.⁵ That belongs in the calculation for someone who only wants the game.
Where boxed copies are sold, and what is inside
Rockstar Store describes the boxed code edition without a disc; purchase availability depends on your region.⁷ In the US, Best Buy offers the PS5 version for US$79.99 as a preorder, also labelled Code in Box.⁸
A download is required: this box provides no disc to install from or resell as a used physical copy.
In Brazil, KaBuM! offers a PS5 preorder sold and shipped by the retailer for R$418.41 using Pix, with an advertised 7% discount, as checked September 9. The listing specifies a boxed code, no disc and shipping from November 12.¹⁰ That promotional price depends on payment method; shipping charges and delivery time depend on the address.
In Brazil, official options include PlayStation Store and the Xbox GTA VI page.⁵ ⁹ For an imported box, check the platform, the code’s redemption region and the total including delivery before paying. An overseas listing doesn’t guarantee shipping to Brazil or arrival at launch.
